The need for proper medical care for rural

There is a shortage of people in the health professions in rural areas in the United States. Although 25 percent of the population lives in the country, only 10 percent of the physicians practice.

Doctors, and many independent experts, depending on appropriate population for their practices profitable. Moreover, the smaller the number of those who live in the country is less likely to seek medical attention. People in the medical profession are less likely to want their families to the countryside because there is less work and training opportunities for their families.
However, the new programs, under the auspices of the National Rural Health Association encourages individuals in the medical profession to work in that country. When the baby boomers reach retirement age, the health needs of older people, and this applies both in urban and rural areas.

Rural Americans are more likely to cause serious injury or death experience a disaster. Approximately one third of the accidents at home, but two thirds of the deaths associated with such accidents. And all accidents in the country, 60 percent resulted in death or serious injury, compared with only 48% of the city. That's because people who live in rural areas are geographically dispersed, resulting in time EMT are considerably lower than in the city.
